Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Captain HQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
Captain HQ is an AI-powered team captain management platform for tennis leagues. We provide tools to help you manage rosters, build lineups, coordinate matches, and communicate with your team. You - the captain - make all final decisions.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each account is intended for use by a single team captain. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Your Data
You own your data. This includes your rosters, lineups, match scores, messages, and any other content you create in Captain HQ. We process your data solely to provide and improve the service. You may export or delete your data at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a team or league
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
6. AI Features
Captain HQ uses artificial intelligence to generate lineup suggestions, player recommendations, and other insights. These are recommendations only - not guarantees of match outcomes. The captain is responsible for all final decisions. We are not liable for the results of any lineup, substitution, or strategy choice.
7. USTA & League Operations
Captain HQ integrates with USTA TennisLink and other league systems to streamline team management. However, Captain HQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USTA or any other league organization. Compliance with league rules, regulations, and deadlines is your responsibility.
8. Billing
Captain Pro player access is $5 per player per month per season. Captains are not charged for using Captain HQ. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access will continue through the end of the current billing period.
9. SMS Messaging Terms
SMS participation is optional and is not a condition of using or purchasing Captain HQ. If you turn on SMS in notification settings, you agree to receive recurring automated account and team-management texts from Captain HQ, including availability requests, lineup and schedule updates, match and practice reminders, and score-entry reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out. You can also turn SMS off at any time in notification settings. 10. Disclaimers
Captain HQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of AI recommendations, or that the service will meet all of your requirements.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Captain HQ and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days notice before material changes take effect, via email or a prominent notice within the service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
